HOUSE RULES
It is important
that we respect the rights of others and
extend an atmosphere of sportsmanship and good behavior both on the
soccer
fields and off.
- Fighting
will result in immediate ejection at the discretion of the Event
Director. Bench clears will result in forfeiture of
the game and further disciplinary action at the discretion of the Event
Director.
- Anyone found defacing or
destroying the property of others will be asked to leave the premises
immediately.
- DON’T LITTER! Please be sure
to collect your trash and
dispose of it properly before leaving the arena.
- Smoking is prohibited. Alcoholic beverages and
beer are also prohibited.
- Soccer participants and
spectators are NOT to juggle, shoot, play with, or throw balls and/or
objects in the spectator area. NO
RUNNING IN THE SPECTATOR AREA
- IMPORTANT: IT IS THE
POLICY OF THE ARENA MANAGEMENT NOT TO ALLOW FOOD OR DRINK TO BE BROUGHT
IN FROM
OUTSIDE. A FULL-SERVICE SNACK BAR IS
AVAILABLE AT THE FACILITY. PLAYERS MAY
BRING WATER BOTTLES. THE FACILITY
MANAGEMENT HAS RESERVED THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY A TEAM FOR AN
INFRACTION OF
THIS POLICY. PLEASE ADVISE YOUR PLAYERS
AND THEIR GUESTS NOT TO BRING IN FOOD FROM OUTSIDE!
- ANY
COACH, PLAYER, OR
GUEST DROPPING OR TOSSING ANY OBJECT OR ANY WATER OR DRINK BOTTLE TO A
PLAYER
ON THE FIELD WILL AUTOMATICALLY RECEIVE A YELLOW CARD WARNING FOR THEIR
TEAM.
IMPORTANT
OUR
GAMES START
PROMPTLY AT GAME TIME!
ADVISE
YOUR PLAYERS TO BE AT THE ARENA AND READY TO
PLAY AT LEAST 15 MINUTES PRIOR TO START TIME TO AVOID
PENALTY…
ONCE
A GAME HALF HAS BEGUN, THERE WILL BE NO
ENTRY TO THE FIELD OR TEAM BENCHES UNLESS AUTHORIZED BY KPSC STAFF AND
GAME OFFICIAL (REFEREE).
IF
A PLAYER ARRIVES AFTER THE GAME HALF HAS
BEGUN, THEY SHOULD REPORT DIRECTLY TO THE EVENT DIRECTOR. THE
EVENT DIRECTOR WILL NOTIFY THE
SCOREKEEPER AND REFEREE, AND
- AFTER TIME
EQUIVALENT TO ONE-QUARTER OF THE MATCH PLAYING TIME HAS
PASSED AND A GOAL IS SCORED, OR
- AFTER TIME EQUIVALENT TO
ONE-QUARTER OF THE MATCH HAS
PASSED AND THERE IS A STOPPAGE OF THE CLOCK,
THE
REFEREE WILL SIGNAL AUTHORIZATION FOR THE
LATE PLAYER TO ENTER THE FIELD. THE
EVENT DIRECTOR THEN WILL ALLOW THE PLAYER TO CROSS THE FIELD TO THE
TEAM
BENCH.
IF
A PARENT, GUEST OR PLAYER CROSSES THE FIELD WITHOUT
PERMISSION, THE REFEREE WILL
AUTOMATICALLY IMPOSE A YELLOW CARD WARNING FOR
“TOO MANY PLAYERS ON THE
FIELD,” TO THE OFFENDING TEAM.
RULES
OF THE GAME
The
rules of FIFA will be enforced except as modified herein
for indoor arena play. All calls are at
the discretion of the referee and the decision of the referee is final.
The Event
Directors, or their designated representatives,
reserve the right to decide all matters pertaining to this event
including
interpretation, review and revision of all rules contained
herein. In all cases, determination of the Directors
will be final.
Only players, coaches, managers, and event staff will be
permitted on the field and in the player bench areas. All
others must remain in the spectator area.
Coaches are responsible for all players and spectators
associated with their respective team.
Eligibility
- To
be eligible to play,
a player must be in good standing with ENYYSA. The Event
Director will determine which
players, managers and teams are not in good standing due to past
actions.
- A player may register
with only one team in a division.
- Rosters will be deemed
official when presented to the Event Director along with appropriate
age
ID. It is the responsibility of the
coach/manager to be sure a roster is on file.
Any roster challenge that is upheld will result in a forfeit of the
game
successfully challenged. An illegal
player must take the field during playing time in order to be
challenged.
Dress
Code
- NO
CLEATS ALLOWED!
TURF SHOES, INDOOR SOCCER SHOES OR SNEAKERS ONLY!
- All teams should have
matching uniforms.
- Shin guards are
required.
- Athletic supporter/cup
for boys is optional, but is highly recommended.
- No jewelry may be worn
during play.
- No player will be
allowed to play with a hard cast on.
Equipment
- Ages U12 and under will
use a size 4 ball.
- Ages U13 and older will
use a size 5 ball.
Number
of Players
- The maximum number of
players on the field per team is seven (including the
goalkeeper).
- The minimum number of
players is four.
Substitutions
-
Substitutions (including
goalkeepers) are allowed “on the fly” during play
or when a
stoppage
occurs. “On the fly” substitutions
require that the player coming off the field be within two feet of the
player’s
bench BEFORE the new player can enter the field, as long as no
advantage is
gained by either player until the substituted player leaves the field.
If a team
or player violates this rule, a yellow card warning will be
issued
to the team's coach for having too many players on the field.
If
play was stopped, the opposing team will restart play with an indirect
free kick.
Home
Team
- The Home
Team is listed first on the schedule and will be responsible for change
of
shirt in the event of a color conflict.
If necessary, pinnies are available from the Scorekeeper.
Start
of Play
- The designated
Home Team
shall kick off.
- On kick off,
defensive players must be 10 feet from the point of kick off.
A goal may be scored directly from a kick
off.
- The
game clock will start on the hour
and half-hour whether or not teams are ready to begin, will run for 24
consecutive minutes and will not stop for any reason. If a penalty kick has been awarded but has
not been taken before time expires, the referee will allow the penalty
kick to
be taken. In this
case, only the kicker
and keeper will take part. There
will be
no rebounds (this is treated like a shootout).
- Play does not stop when the ball
strikes the overhead netting.
Offsides
-
There
will be NO
OFFSIDES.
Indirect
and Direct Kicks
- FIFA Laws apply. All direct free kick
restarts
will be taken as an indirect free kick with the exception of direct
free kicks awarded in the penalty area which will be
a taken as a penalty kick. All other players must
be at least ten feet from the point of the kick.
Restarts
- Balls
hitting the ceiling are considered in play.
Throw-Ins
- Throw-Ins are
awarded according to FIFA Laws.
Corner
Kicks and
Goal Kicks
- Corner Kicks and Goal Kicks are
awarded according to FIFA Laws. Goal
kicks are taken anywhere within the penalty area.
Passing Back To The Keeper (Goalie)
- The ball may NOT be
played back to the keeper’s hands (can be played by the
goalie’s feet, head,
chest, etc.) if his/her team has possession.
- The Goalkeeper has six
seconds to release the ball after taking control with his/her hands.
Delay
Of Game
- If
in the judgment of the
referee the game is intentionally being delayed, a stoppage of the
clock will
occur, and action will be taken against the player at the
referee’s discretion.
Abusive
Language
- Abusive
language will not
be tolerated. Any coach, player,
manager or team representative will be subject to a yellow or red card
for the
first offense. The second offense will
result in a mandatory red card. All red
cards carry a minimum one-game suspension.
NO
Slide Tackles
- An indirect kick will be
awarded at the point of the infraction.
- This rule does not apply to the goalkeeper while
playing inside his/her own penalty area.
Yellow
Card
- A yellow card
is
considered a warning. Two yellow cards
in the same game equal a red card (ejection from the game).
Red
Card
- When a player or coach
receives a red card, he is ejected from the rest of the game. Players
cannot be
replaced by another player, and the team must play the remainder of the
game
with one less player on the field for each ejected player. In the event
a coach
is ejected from the field, another adult must be designated to act as
team manager
for the team during the period of ejection.
- Each ejected player or
coach shall also receive a one-game suspension applicable to the next
immediate
game.
Point
System
- A forfeit will be
recorded as a 2-0 score and a three-point win.
POINT
SYSTEM
WIN = 3 POINTS
TIE = 1 POINT
LOSS = 0 POINTS
Tiebreakers
- The team with the most
points in a single division or group will win the division or group.
- In the event of a tie,
the following tiebreaker system shall apply to determine the standings:
- Winner of Head to Head
Competition (This criteria not used if more than two teams are tied.)
- Most Wins
- Least Goals Against
- Most Goals For
- Most Shutouts
- Goal Differential
- Toss of the Coin
- If more than two teams
are tied in points, head to head is eliminated. Beginning
with Point 2, the Tiebreaker System above will be
followed until a winner is determined.
The remaining teams will then continue the sequence until the tie is
broken.
- In divisions holding semi-final
and final matches,
if the match ends in a tie, immediately following the
game:
- Penalty
Shots, one for one (sudden death)
- Only players on the
field at the end of the match, including the goalkeeper, are eligible
to shoot.
All other players must remain in the bench area.
- The designated Home Team
shoots first.
